  • 1. About Tenancy Tracker

    Tenancy Tracker is Trade Me’s new tenancy application system. It’s designed to help property managers track tenancy applications and to enable tenants to apply for properties with ease. Within Tenancy Tracker you can view tenant application forms, email the applicant different status updates, carry out reference checks and credit checks and export their application and associated documents.

  • 2. Who can use Tenancy Tracker?

    Any office can sign up for Tenancy Tracker. For tenants, currently they need to be a Trade Me member.
    If your office is not a Viewing Tracker customer, but would like to sign up, please email our customer service team at propertyagents@trademe.co.nz to get your Viewing Tracker account activated and linked to Tenancy Tracker.

  • 3. How do I log into Tenancy Tracker?

    Open https://tenancytracker.co.nz/login then select ‘I’m a property manager’. If you use Viewing Tracker, click on ‘Log in with Viewing Tracker‘ and enter in your Viewing Tracker email and password. If you use Tenancy Tracker, click on ‘Log in with Tenancy Tracker‘ and enter in your Tenancy Tracker email and password.
    If you have forgotten these details, please click on ‘Forgot password‘ to reset your password.

  • 4. How can a tenant apply for one of our properties?

    Tenants can apply for one of your properties using one of the following methods:


    If you use Viewing Tracker:

    • By filling in an application form that you send them from Viewing Tracker. To send an application form, log in to your Viewing Tracker account, and from the Dashboard click on the ‘Actions’ menu next to the tenant who wants to apply. Click ‘Send application form’..
    • Send the tenant to your list of available properties using the link below (you need to replace viewing_tracker_subdomain with your Viewing Tracker subdomain).

    • Add apply buttons to your website. The following dynamic code will enable the correct application form to open. Please use Agency Reference ID or Trade Me listing ID as the dynamic property field.

      Example: If your viewing_tracker_subdomain is "demo" and your property Agency Reference ID (or Trade Me listing ID) is "PROPERTY-2062", the link would be:

    If you are not using Viewing Tracker:

    • Send the tenant to your list of available properties using the link below (you need to replace office_slug with your Tenancy Tracker slug). This link is also available if you click on "Apply instructions" on the main menu when you're logged in.

    • Add apply buttons to your website. The following dynamic code will enable the correct application form to open. Please use Agency Reference ID or Trade Me listing ID as the dynamic property field.

  • 5. How do I add a property manager to Tenancy Tracker?

    If you use Viewing Tracker:
    To add a user to Tenancy Tracker, you need to add them to Viewing Tracker first. Once they are set up, they will then be able to log into Tenancy Tracker (they can do this via the quick link in the top menu inside Viewing Tracker, or from going to Tenancy Tracker and clicking log in.


    If you are not using Viewing Tracker:
    To add a user to Tenancy Tracker, on the main menu go to Settings -> Agents. Once they are set up, they will then be able to log into Tenancy Tracker by going to Tenancy Tracker and clicking log in.
